Accused remanded for five more days in Ichhra three-children murder case

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Apr, 2026) A local court on Wednesday extended extended the physical remand of accused Rida Fatima by five more days in the high-profile Ichhra three-children murder case and directed investigators to submit a progress report at the next hearing.

The accused was produced before a judicial magistrate at Model Town Kachehri after completing her earlier physical remand. The investigation officer of the Crime Control Department (CCD) requested an extension, stating that further investigation was required to recover the alleged weapon and complete forensic procedures, including a photogrammetric test.

Judicial Magistrate Arshad Hussain Sabzwari approved the request and granted five more days of physical remand, directing that the accused be produced again on May 4.

The court also instructed the investigation team to present a detailed investigation report on the next date of hearing.

According to police, a case has been registered at Ichhra Police Station regarding the killing of three children. Initial investigation suggests the accused, reportedly under psychological distress, was involved in the incident involving her own children.
