FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jun, 2026) Thikriwala police on Monday arrested a proclaimed offender wanted for the last 12 years

in a triple murder case.

According to police, the accused Abdul Shakoor had been absconding since his involvement

in a case registered at Thikriwala police station on May 25, 2014.

The accused was wanted in connection with a brutal attack in which armed persons

allegedly had opened indiscriminate fire, killing three citizens including Aslam, Afzal

and Asghar Ali in addition to seriously injuring Muhammad Akmal.

The police said the accused and his accomplices allegedly carried out the attack

over a dispute linked to encroachments on government land.

The accused reportedly believed that deceased Muhammad Aslam had submitted

an application to the authorities against them for illegally occupying state land, prompting

them to target the victims.

Acting on intelligence and following sustained efforts to trace the fugitive, Incharge

Investigation Thikriwala police station Qaim Din conducted a successful operation

and arrested Abdul Shakoor, bringing an end to his years-long evasion of law enforcement.

Meanwhile, City Police Officer (CPO) Tanveer Hussain said that the arrest reflected

the police department’s resolve to pursue hardened criminals regardless of how long

they remained at large.

He said that there was no place in Faisalabad for the elements involved in heinous crimes

and law enforcement agencies would continue their operations against proclaimed offenders

and dangerous criminals.

He vowed that the arrested accused would be prosecuted vigorously and brought

to justice in accordance with the law.

The operations against proclaimed offenders and wanted criminals would continue

across the district to strengthen public safety and uphold the rule of law as protection

of citizens and accountability for serious crimes were top priorities of Faisalabad Police,

he added.
