Accused killed by firing of accomplices

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Mar, 2026) An alleged police encounter took place in Kahna, in the limits of CCD Model Town, in which one accused was killed while the other escaped.

According to CCD officials, a CCD team was taking the accused, Tohid, to Kahna for recovery when his accomplices opened fire at the team to free him.

Police also retaliated in self defence. During the cross firing, the accused was killed by the firing of his own accomplices who managed to escape the scene.

The police have shifted the body to the morgue for post-mortem and have started searching for the absconding accused.
