Accused held over harassing woman

LODHRAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th May, 2026) City police claimed to have arrested a man for allegedly harassing and threatening a nurse.

According to the police spokesman, the victim was working as a nurse at a local hospital and had previously been engaged to the accused, identified as Sheraz. However, the engagement was later dissolved.

Despite the separation, the accused allegedly continued to harass the woman.

Following the complaint lodged by the victim, City Police registered a case and arrested the accused.

District Police Officer Capt (R) Ali Bin Tariq, said that strict legal action would be taken against anyone involved in harassing or threatening women.

There was no compromise on protection of women and added that strict action being ensured on each complaint, he concluded.
