Police have arrested an accused allegedly involved in the rape of a young girl within the jurisdiction of Dighan Police Station during a joint operation conducted on Friday

MIRPURKHAS, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th May, 2026) Police have arrested an accused allegedly involved in the rape of a young girl within the jurisdiction of Dighan Police Station during a joint operation conducted on Friday.

According to police officials, the operation was jointly carried out by SHO Dighan Police Station Abid Zardari and SHO Women Police Station Mirpurkhas Inspector Khushbakht, resulting in the arrest of the nominated suspect identified as Bhoomo Kolhi.

Police said a case had already been registered, and during initial interrogation the accused allegedly confessed to the crime. Officials added that further investigation is underway to complete legal formalities and gather additional evidence.

Authorities also stated that the victim is being provided with necessary legal and medical assistance, while reaffirming that strict action will be taken against those involved in the incident.
