AC Sukkur conducts surprise visits to various superstores, shops & street vendors in Ramazan

SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Feb, 2026) Assistant Commissioner (AC) New Sukkur, Bushra Mansoor, conducted surprise visits to various superstores, shops, and street vendors in different areas of Sukkur, including Shikarpur Road, to review the prices of essential commodities during Ramazan here on Saturday.

During the visits, she found that vegetables, fruits, and other items were being sold at higher prices than the official rates. She took action against the superstore owners, shopkeepers, and street vendors, imposing heavy fines on them for overcharging.

Additionally, she visited hotels found violating the Ramazan Ordinance and took on-spot action, imposing fines and sealing one hotel with the help of revenue staff.

Speaking on the occasion, AC Bushra Mansoor said that she is working day and night to provide relief to the public during Ramazan. She added that surprise checks and balances will continue on a daily basis, and no one will be allowed to exploit the public by overcharging.

Bushra Mansoor further stated that Deputy Commissioner Sukkur, Nadir Shehzad Khan, has a clear policy of zero tolerance against profiteering. She said that any shopkeeper, superstore owner, or vendor found selling essential commodities at higher than official rates will face strict action without any leniency.
