AC reviews cattle market arrangements, drain cleaning ahead of Monsoon

NOWSHERA VIRKAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th May, 2026) Assistant Commissioner (AC), Saadia Jamal on Tuesday reviewed arrangements for a temporary cattle market and inspected the ongoing cleaning of the city’s main drain as part of preparations for the upcoming monsoon season.

During her visit to Kacha Abidabad Road, she inspected the drain desilting campaign and directed sanitation staff to ensure thorough cleaning to prevent possible urban flooding during heavy rains.

She also visited the temporary sale point established for sacrificial animals ahead of Eid al-Azha and sought details from officials regarding facilities being provided to traders and buyers.
