AC Dera orders immediate improvement of public recreational facilities

Dera Ismail Khan, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jun, 2026) Assistant Commissioner Dera, Dr. Muhammad Hamid Siddiq, visited Haq Nawaz Park on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Hikmatullah and expressed displeasure over the poor condition of facilities and management at the public recreational site.

During the visit, the Assistant Commissioner, accompanied by officials of the Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA), conducted a detailed inspection of the park's facilities and overall arrangements.

He took serious notice of the inadequate drinking water arrangements, poor sanitation conditions, closure and deteriorated state of washrooms, insufficient lighting, and the dilapidated condition of the walking track.

Hamid Siddiq directed the TMA authorities to improve all facilities and submit a compliance report within 15 days.

He also ordered departmental action against the park in-charge and directed the authorities to immediately replace him with a competent official to ensure better management and maintenance of the park.

The Assistant Commissioner said that providing quality recreational facilities to citizens was among the top priorities of the district administration and that negligence in this regard would not be tolerated.

He reiterated that all available resources would be utilized to improve public amenities and provide a clean, safe and family-friendly environment for residents.
