Dera Ismail Khan, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Feb, 2026) Following directives from the provincial government, Assistant Commissioner (AC) Tehsil Parowa conducted an inspection of Mahra Bazaar on the third day of Ramazan to ensure timely relief for citizens based on complaints received at the Tehsil Parowa Complaint Monitoring Desk.
During the inspection, officials carried out a detailed check of general stores, bakeries, fruit and vegetable shops, and butcheries.
Shopkeepers were strictly warned for failing to display the official price list and charging higher-than-approved rates.
A total fine of Rs 21,000 was imposed on violators.
Expired food items were also seized during the inspection and destroyed on the spot, with strict instructions given to vendors to prevent any future negligence.
The AC also directed the staff at the Tehsil Complaint Monitoring Desk to ensure transparency and efficiency in registering and resolving public complaints.
He reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to protecting public interests, eliminating profiteering, and ensuring the availability of quality essential commodities.
