AC bus terminal at General Bus Stand restored

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Feb, 2026) In line with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif to provide quality and dignified travel facilities to the public, the restoration and renovation project of the AC Bus Terminal at the General Bus Stand, Bahawalpur, has been completed.

The development initiative was finalised under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Syed Hassan Raza. According to the district administration, the AC Terminal has been upgraded with modern facilities to ensure a cleaner, more comfortable, and passenger-friendly environment. The project included improvements in the cleanliness and maintenance system, installation of new seating arrangements, and overall enhancement of the infrastructure to create a pleasant atmosphere for travelers.

Deputy Commissioner Syed Hassan Raza personally monitored all phases of the project to ensure high construction standards and the provision of quality facilities.

Speaking on the occasion, he stated that providing dignified and comfortable travel facilities to citizens remains a top priority of the district administration. He added that similar practical measures are being undertaken to improve other public spaces across the city. He further emphasized that, under the Chief Minister of Punjab's development vision, public welfare projects are being completed in a timely and transparent manner to ensure the best possible facilities for citizens.

Passengers and residents expressed satisfaction over the restoration and renovation of the AC Terminal, appreciating the efforts of the Deputy Commissioner. They noted that the project has not only improved the overall environment of the bus stand but has also provided greater comfort and convenience to travelers.
