Abducted youth found dead in canal

BUREWALA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Apr, 2026) The throat-slit body of a man,abducted two days ago was recovered from a canal after a search operation,police said on Saturday.

According to officials,the victim,identified as Shafqat(25) was allegedly kidnapped by unidentified persons.

Following the registration of a case,the family feared he had been murdered and his body dumped in the Khadar Canal.

Police subsequently launched a two-day search operation,which led to the recovery of the body from the canal.

The body was shifted to a hospital for postmortem examination.

Police said further investigation was underway and efforts were being made to trace and arrest the suspects.
