ABBOTTABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Jun, 2026) Acting on public complaints and directives from Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad Sarmad Saleem Akram, Additional Assistant Commissioner Kamran Ali Shah conducted a surprise inspection of the Lower Jinnahabad market to assess the availability, pricing, and quality of essential food commodities.
During the inspection, fruit, vegetable, meat, and chicken shops were thoroughly checked for compliance with official price lists, hygiene standards, and overall market regulations.
Authorities sealed one meat shop after it was found storing substandard and unhygienic meat in freezers. A fruit seller was also issued a formal notice for violating relevant rules.

The Abbottabad District Administration stated that such monitoring operations will continue to ensure the availability of quality food items, price stability, and improved public health and sanitation standards across the district.
