AAC supervises auction, issues official price list at Abbottabad fruit market

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Feb, 2026) Additional Assistant Commissioner Abbottabad, Kamran Ali Shah, along with the District food Controller and in the presence of traders’ representatives, supervised the auction process and fixed official prices at the Fruit and Vegetable Market in Salhad to ensure transparency and price stability.

During the visit, all stages of the auction were closely monitored. Buyers were heard in detail, and the bidding process was observed to ensure transparency and fairness. After reviewing market trends and assessing demand and supply, the administration prepared and signed the official price list in consultation with stakeholders.

Officials observed a natural decrease in auction prices of several items, including fresh beans, green chillies, capsicum, tomatoes and strawberries.

Meanwhile, prices of white apples, Iranian apples, guava, bananas and kinnow were fixed on rational and balanced grounds to ensure their availability at controlled rates in city markets.

The administration said the move would help ensure effective implementation of official prices and bind shopkeepers and vendors to follow the government-approved rate list. The district administration Abbottabad is continuing practical steps to provide relief to citizens and maintain price stability from the wholesale markets to the retail level.
