ABBOTTABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th May, 2026) Additional Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Afshin Rehman conducted a detailed visit to various areas of Lower Tanawal Tehsil to review public complaints, healthcare facilities and price control measures, taking immediate action on several issues during the inspection.
During the visit to Sherwan Khurd, Afshin Rehman, accompanied by SHO Sherwan, inspected a complaint regarding the blockage of a pathway on jointly owned property. Officials found that a dispute existed between the complainant and his brother over a shared access route on the joint land.
On the directives of the AAC Revenue, the blocked pathway leading to the complainant’s house was reopened on the spot, while the concerned individual was warned against repeating the act.
The SHO Sherwan was directed to register an FIR if any further attempt is made to block the common passage.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>The officer also paid a surprise visit to Sherwan Hospital where shortages of essential medicines, particularly Panadol syrup and antibiotics for children, were observed.
However, emergency medicines were found available at the facility.
In a separate action, the district administration received a complaint against a meat seller in Sherwan for overcharging customers. Upon verification, beef was found being sold at Rs1,400 per kilogram in violation of official rates. The meat shop was sealed immediately and the accused was handed over to SHO Sherwan through an official communication for further legal proceedings.
The district administration said field monitoring and enforcement actions would continue to ensure better public services, implementation of law and promotion of good governance across the district.
