PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) Celebrating the first anniversary of the historic victory achieved by Pakistan during Marka-e-Haq (Operation Bunyan um Marsoos) against the three-time larger enemy India, the people of Khyber Pakthunkhwa have taken out mammoth rallies and walks besides holding seminars by academics, showing strength of national unity and strong resolve against all threats.
From DI Khan to Chitral and Waziristan to Kohistan, people from across KP turned out in large numbers in these rallies and walks to celebrate the historic victory of Pakistani Forces that defeated a three-time larger enemy on May 10, 2025.
People of all walks of life including men, women, children, youth, students, farmers, academics, transporters and laborers in KP as well as erstwhile Fata participated in the rallies and walks, showing great patriotism and national fervor.
In Peshawar, a cycle rally was held attended by people of a cross section of society to celebrate the historic victory during Marka e Haq. The two kilometers cycle rally was aimed at celebrating Pakistan’s Armed Forces’ victory in May last year conflict against India and paying rich tributes to the defenders of Pakistan. The participants while holding the national flags chanted slogans in favour of Pakistan Army, Navy and PAF.
Similarly, Marka-e-Haq celebrations was kicked off in University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar where students and faculty members are participating with national enthusiasm. The celebrations commenced with a banner drop ceremony and will continue till 10th May 2026 culminating into a closing ceremony where outstanding participants will be honored with awards and certificates.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sadiq Khattak formally inaugurated the event by cutting a cake in the presence of senior university officials. The series of activities will continue with debate competitions, providing students with a platform to engage in thought-provoking discussions, and a science model competition showcasing innovative solutions to the real-world.
Marka e Haq celebrations aim to promote patriotism, critical thinking, and innovation among students, offering them a dynamic platform to express ideas and demonstrate their talents. Later, colourful balloons were released in air.
Similarly, In Swat district, a big rally attended by cross section of society was held at tehsil Khwazakhela to mark the completion of one year anniversary of Maraka e Haq. The rally holding placards and banners was held under aegis of district administration Swat. Assistant Commissioner Khwazakhela, Luqman Khan, and Additional Assistant Commissioner Riaz-ul-Haq along with officials of district administration and line departments attended the impressive rally.
The purpose of the rally attended by traders, transporters, youth, women and children was to pay tribute to the heroic battlefield performance of Pakistan Army under leadership of CDF/COAS Field Marshall Syed Asim Munir that shattered the Modi regime's deception of regional supremacy.
In DI Khan, a rally was held at Dera Ismail Khan to mark the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq. The rally held under the aegis of district administration and police led by DSP Bakhrani passed through different bazaars and roads.
Wajid Ali Khan, former KP Minister said that participation of a large number of people and tribesmen in Marka e Haq’s rallies and walks in erstwhile Fata showed their immense love for the armed forces of Pakistan.
From Karachi to Khyber and Gawadar to Gilgit, the people of Pakistan stood tall for support of armed forces when the enemy attacked innocent civilians in Punjab and Azad Kashmir during the night of May 6 last year, showing the barbarism of India against humanity.
He said the powerful response of Pakistani military against India’s unprovoked missiles and drones attacks on civilian locations at Ahmedpur Sharqia, Muridke, Sialkot, Shakargarh, Muzaffarabad, and Kotli that martyred 36 civilians including women and children, have shattered the Modi’s deception narratives of regional supremacy.
The inimical forces have badly failed to achieve its military objectives despite using nuclear-capable cruise missiles in a conventional role against Pakistan that raised serious concerns.
PAF has not only successfully destroyed BrahMos missile storage after India started using it against our country during the May conflict last year but also broke the back of the enemy and inflicted heavy loss to them.
Multiple advanced fighter aircraft including four Rafale jets along with one MiG-29, one SU-30MKI, one Mirage-2000, and a Heron drone of the enemy have been shot down by PAF. Similarly, S-400 air defence systems, BrahMos missile storage compounds, and several brigade headquarters of the enemy were successfully targeted, reflecting the scale and depth of Pakistan Army and PAF’s successful operation.
Multiple targets across Indian Illegal Occupied Jummu and Kashmir and mainland India were successfully struck, including the enemy’s military positions in Uri, Nowshera, and Rajauri. The successful operation of Bunynum Marsoos demonstrated a shift toward network-centric warfare, integrating precision strikes with real-time intelligence and dismantling of assigned targets.
PAF have successfully destroyed advanced air defense systems, including the S-400 missile system of the enemy and testified superiority in conventional warfare.
Marka-e-Haq 2025 has proved a defining case study in modern air combat, where the Pakistan Air Force exhibited precision strike capability, multi-domain integration, and cyber operations that offset the numerical advantage of the Indian Air Force. The operation iron wall has testified that PAF was an undisputed king of the skies.
Misal Khan, a retired Govt servant who participated in Marka e Haq rally in Nowshera said,” he came here along with sons to present solute to the defenders of Pakistan,”, adding our forces tarnished the Modi regimes’ political myth and cosmetic regional supremacy.
Waving Pakistan’s flag, he termed May 6 attacks of India was failed attempt to hide its security failure, separatist movements and divert world attention from human rights abuses and state terrorism in Indian Illegally Occupied Jummu and Kashmir.
A similar rally was also held at Swabi, Mardan and Dir Lower where a large number of people participated, showing their deep support to the armed forces of Pakistan. The participants were carrying flags of the national heroes and defenders of Pakistan who proved the country's defense invincible on May 10, 2025.
