A police officer passes away of brain haemorrhage

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th May, 2026) An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Rawalpindi Police, Khurram Shehzad, passed away after suffering a brain haemorrhage and paralysis attack.

He was shifted to a hospital after his condition deteriorated and remained under treatment in the intensive care unit, where he breathed his last.

His funeral prayers were offered in Dhoke Chiragh Din, attended by police officials and a large number of citizens.

The deceased had joined the police force as a constable in 1999 and was promoted to ASI in 2009.

City Police Officer Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani expressed grief and said the department stood with the bereaved family.
