9 held in police crackdown in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) Hyderabad Police arrested nine suspects in separate operations and recovered narcotics, unhealthy hookah flavours, weapons and liquor from their possession.

According to the police spokesperson, Makki Shah police arrested Salman Shoukat and recovered 510 grams of weed drugs along with cash amounting to Rs100,000.

Fort Police arrested suspects Ghulam Ali Qambarani and Anas Panhwar after an encounter near Rickshaw Market. Police also recovered a pistol from the possession of suspect Ghulam Ali.

Meanwhile, alleged drug suppliers Zulfiqar Ali Arain and Muhammad Ismail Qureshi were arrested and 21 grams of ice drug was recovered from each suspect.

Bhittai Nagar police conducted a raid at a private café and arrested three suspects, Sajjad Ali Chandio, Junaid Saadiq Rajput and Muzammal Aalmani. Police recovered 13 hookahs, 22 harmful hookah flavours and other related items from their possession.

Separately, Cantt police also arrested Amjad Pathan and recovered four bottles of liquor from him. Police said cases have been registered against all arrested suspects under relevant sections of the law.
