87pc beneficiaries receive Nigehban Ramazan Cards

KHANEWAL, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Mar, 2026) On the special directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the distribution of Nigehban Ramazan Cards is continued at a fast pace, with 87 percent of registered beneficiaries already received cards at their doorstep.

According to the district administration, more than 102,000 deserving families have so far been provided with Nigehban Ramazan Cards out of a total of 137,161 registered eligible individuals in the district. The distribution process is being carried out under the supervision of the district administration in a transparent manner.

In this connection, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Maliha Rasheed paid a surprise visit to the Nigehban Card Activation Centre established in Kabirwala to review arrangements.

During the visit, she directly interacted with beneficiaries facing card activation issues and directed the staff to immediately activate pending cards and ensure timely disbursement of payments.

The Deputy Commissioner made it clear that no illegal deductions under the Nigehban Ramazan Card programme would be tolerated. She warned that strict action is being taken against retailers involved in unauthorized deductions and said such elements would be dealt with firmly.

She further stated that ensuring full payment to deserving citizens remains the top priority of the district administration, adding that continuous monitoring is underway to address complaints promptly and ensure smooth provision of relief during Ramazan.
