MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Apr, 2026) The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) on Saturday completed distribution of food packages among 8,500 deserving families across Punjab under the final phase of its Food Security Support Project in Pakistan.
The initiative aimed to provide essential food supplies to vulnerable and food-insecure communities, particularly those affected by recent floods.
According to officials,each 97-kg package comprised flour,cooking oil,sugar,chickpeas and dates to help meet basic nutritional needs.
A total of 8,500 packages were distributed across 10 districts, including Multan(Jalalpur Pirwala),Bahawalpur,Muzaffargarh (Alipur),Bahawalnagar,Rajanpur,Nankana Sahib,Khanewal (Kabirwala),Rahim Yar Khan,Chiniot and Toba Tek Singh.
The distribution was carried out in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA),Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA),district administrations and partner organizations,including Hayat Foundation and Peace and Development Organization.
Officials said the initiative reflects KSrelief’s continued commitment to strengthening food security and supporting vulnerable communities in Pakistan.
