76th ICMA foundation day celebrated in Multan

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th May, 2026) The 76th foundation day of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants (ICMA) of Pakistan was celebrated at a graceful ceremony organized by the Multan Branch Council for its members and their families.

The event was attended by Vice President ICMA Pakistan Mian Muhammad Yaseen and Director Strategic board Zia-ul-Mustafa Awan as special guests. A large number of professionals, members and their families participated in the celebrations.

Addressing the ceremony, VP ICMA Pakistan Mian Muhammad Yaseen highlighted the significant and effective role of ICMA in Pakistan’s economic and financial sectors. He said the institution’s success was the result of dedication, professional excellence and untiring efforts of its members. He further stated that ICMA Pakistan was playing the role of a key stakeholder alongside the Federal government in budget formulation, financial planning and economic policymaking aimed at strengthening the national economy.

Director Strategic Board Zia-ul-Mustafa Awan also praised the professional services of management accountants, describing their contribution as vital for economic stability and corporate governance in the country.

During the ceremony, special shields were presented to Muhammad Shoaib, Chairman Audit Assurance and Risk Advisory Board, and Waqar Khalid, Chairman SMP Board ICMA Pakistan, in recognition of their outstanding professional services and contributions to the institution.

Chairman Multan Branch Council Muhammad Yousaf Siddiqui thanked the distinguished guests, members and participants for attending the event. He reaffirmed the branch’s commitment to promoting professional development and the welfare of members in the future as well.

Joint Director ICMA Samina Khan Kiani also addressed the gathering, while the celebrations concluded with the cake-cutting ceremony marking the 76th anniversary of the institute.

The event also featured the distribution of honorary shields among distinguished members of Multan. A lavish dinner and a soulful qawwali performance were arranged for members and their families, adding colour and warmth to the memorable evening.
