ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Feb, 2026) Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar said on Friday that security forces have killed 72 combatants of the Afghan Taliban regime, destroyed their 16 posts, and captured seven others during Operation Ghazab Lil-Haq, launched following “unprovoked action” from across the border.

Providing a late-night update at 2:00 AM, the minister said that over 120 Afghan operatives were injured during the Operation Ghazab lil-Haq (Righteous Fury).

Key military infrastructure, including a large ammunition depot, an Afghan Taliban battalion headquarters, and a sector headquarters, have been successfully destroyed, he added.

“So far, more than 36 tanks, artillery guns, and armored personnel carriers have been neutralized,” Tarar stated.

The minister vowed that counter-attacks are ongoing and that every act of aggression against Pakistan’s sovereignty would be met with a firm and decisive response.
