656 inspection visits carried out in Hyd division on 11th Ramazan

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Mar, 2026) The officials of the district administrations in the Hyderabad division carried out 656 inspections on the 10th day of the holy month of Ramazan to perform the price checking and to ensure the food quality control.

A spokesman of the Commissioner Hyderabad Fayaz Hussain Abbassi informed here on Sunday evening that the inspection teams found 137 violations of notified rate lists and quality by the outlets and vendors selling edible items.

He told that the authorities imposed a total of Rs68,900 in fines on the violators.

According to him, 107 inspection visits were carried out in Hyderabad district, 103 in Dadu, 77 in Tando Allahyar, 72 in Sujawal, 67 in Badin, 65 in Thatta, 62 in Matiari, 61 in Jamshoro and 42 in Tando Muhammad Khan districts.He said the Divisional Commissioner had strictly directed his subordinates to implement the price list and to ensure that no adulterated food items were sold in the markets.
