64 Livestock employees get motorcycles

KHANEWAL, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Feb, 2026) Sixty-four employees of Livestock Department received motorcycles under revolutionary initiative of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to improve their outreach to cattle rearers for provision of swift extension services to enhance milk and meat production in Khanewal district.

MNA Muhammad Khan Daha and deputy commissioner Maleeha Rasheed distributed motorcycle keys among 21 veterinary officers and 43 paramedical staff at a ceremony here Thursday.

Addressing the ceremony Muhammad Khan Daha heaped praise on CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif for provision of motorcycles with a modern kit to treat and provide first aid treatment to ailing or injured animals under a three-year easy installment plan.

The facility has been extended to officials and officers for their ease of mobility, DC Maleeha Rasheed said adding that instead of remaining within office premises, they now must move out to cattle rearers and extend whatever extension services they are in need of.

Director Livestock Multan division, additional director livestock Khanewal, PML-N leader Mian Ikramullah Kamboh, other officials and media representatives were present.
