SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jul, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhry on Wednesday presided over a
meeting on projects of the Punjab Saaf Pani Authority, where it was revealed that 619 new
water filtration plants would be installed across Sargodha district at an estimated
cost of Rs4.9 billion.
According to the official spokesperson here, the scheme includes the installation of 346 reverse
osmosis (RO) plants and 273 multimedia (MF) water filtration plants.
The meeting was further informed that the Punjab Saaf Pani Authority is currently operating 78 water
filtration plants across the district.

plants and assess their functionality.
He ordered that timely replacement of filters and regular testing of water quality be ensured.
He also directed officials to check the plants for any technical faults or damage and take immediate corrective measures where necessary.
