37,960 deserving citizens of Abbottabad to receive Rs 12,500 each under KP government’s special Ramazan package

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Wednesday started distributing financial assistance of Rs12,500 each to 37,960 deserving citizens in Abbottabad under the Special Ramazan Package announced on the directives of the provincial chief minister

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Mar, 2026) The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Wednesday started distributing financial assistance of Rs12,500 each to 37,960 deserving citizens in Abbottabad under the Special Ramazan Package announced on the directives of the provincial chief minister.

According to the district administration, Deputy Commissioner Sarmad Saleem Akram has directed authorities to ensure continuous monitoring of all payment centres so that citizens can receive the funds in a timely and convenient manner.

In this regard, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Gohar Ali visited various JazzCash centres to review the payment system and issued instructions to staff to improve service delivery and ensure better facilities for beneficiaries.

Assistant Commissioner Afrasiab Zubair Hundal was also present during the visit, where officials inspected records, identified issues faced by citizens in receiving payments, and ensured their prompt resolution.

The district administration stated that citizens eligible for the financial assistance are receiving official messages only from 8558, while all JazzCash centres across the district have been designated for the distribution of funds. Beneficiaries can collect the amount through biometric verification using their original CNIC.

Officials further clarified that the government has already paid service charges to retailers; therefore, any deduction from the amount is illegal. Citizens have been advised to immediately report any such deductions to the district administration through the district control room at 0992-9310553.
