350 Saudi scouts deployed at hospitals, Mina routes to assist pilgrims

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th May, 2026) More than 350 scouts and scout leaders deployed by Saudi Arabian Scouts Association assisted pilgrims on routes leading to Mina and at hospitals and health centers during the Day of Tarwiyah in Hajj 1447 AH.

According to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), scout teams were stationed across roads, corridors and field locations leading to pilgrims’ camps in Mina to provide guidance, humanitarian support and assistance services.

The report said the scouts helped elderly pilgrims, persons with disabilities and lost pilgrims by guiding them to their accommodations and facilitating their movement during the Hajj rituals.

SPA told APP that more than 350 scouts and scout leaders were additionally deployed across seven hospitals and seven health centers in Makkah and the holy sites to support Ministry of Health teams.

Authorities said the volunteers assisted in organizing visitor flow, facilitating patient admissions and discharges, accompanying patients and transporting elderly pilgrims and patients through mobility carts between clinics and medical departments.

The report added that the volunteer operations reflected a high level of readiness and strengthened field and healthcare services provided to pilgrims during the Day of Tarwiyah
