LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Apr, 2026) Punjab Police have deported 34,576 illegal foreign nationals, including Afghan citizens, from Lahore and other districts as part of an ongoing province-wide evacuation drive.
A spokesperson said on Monday that the process of evacuation of illegally residing foreign nationals is continuing across Punjab, with 203 individuals currently present at various holding points, awaiting deportation.
Providing details, the spokesperson said that those deported included 13,389 men, 6,963 women and 14,193 children.
Among them, 10,771 possessed proof of residence, 11,131 were Afghan Citizen Card holders, while 12,643 were illegal foreign residents.
Inspector General of Police Punjab, Abdul Kareem, said that security across the province had been placed on high alert and the evacuation of all illegally residing individuals was being ensured.
He added that Punjab Police were implementing the deportation policy in accordance with international laws.
