315 medical staff deployed near Prophet’s Mosque to serve Hajj pilgrims

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) Prince Sultan Armed Forces Hospital has deployed more than 315 medical, technical and administrative personnel at its seasonal medical center near the Prophet’s Mosque to provide healthcare services for pilgrims during the Hajj 1447 AH season.

According to SPA, the seasonal medical center is located on the northern side of the courtyards of Al-Masjid an-Nabawi and forms part of efforts by the General Directorate for Health Services at the Ministry of Defense to strengthen healthcare services for pilgrims and visitors in Madinah.

The center is participating for the fifth consecutive year in serving visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque during the Hajj season.

The report said the facility provides integrated medical services including Primary healthcare clinics, emergency treatment, urgent care, radiology, laboratory testing, pharmacy services and health education.

Dialysis services have also been introduced to help pilgrims suffering from kidney disease continue treatment sessions during their stay near the Prophet’s Mosque.

Authorities said the center includes several medical beds, including 10 designated for emergency and critical cases, while its primary healthcare section currently operates four clinics that can be expanded to six depending on operational needs and visitor numbers.

The center is also offering multilingual health awareness services by translating guidance materials into more than 10 languages and making them accessible through QR codes for pilgrims from different countries.

Officials said several development and improvement initiatives are continuing to further enhance the quality and efficiency of medical services provided to pilgrims during the Hajj season.
