3 temporary cattle sale points set up in Lodhran for for Eid-ul-Azha

LODHRAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) The Lodhran district administration has approved the establishment of three temporary cattle sale points across the district.

Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ashraf formally approved the temporary cattle markets, which will be set up at Old Municipal Stadium in Lodhran city, Adnan Petroleum Services ground in Kahror Pacca, and Khanewal Road near the General Bus Stand in Dunyapur.

According to the district administration, the cattle sale points will become operational 10 days prior to Eid-ul-Azha to ensure organised buying and selling of sacrificial animals.

The Municipal Committees of Lodhran and Kahror Pacca will supervise arrangements at the respective markets, while the Cattle Market Management Company will manage operations in Dunyapur.

A notification issued by the deputy commissioner directed all concerned departments to ensure foolproof arrangements, including sanitation, security, traffic management, and public facilities at the temporary markets.

Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ashraf said the administration was committed to ensure all arrangements at sale points for citizens facilitation.

He further said that the sale of sacrificial animals on roadsides, highways, intersections, streets, and residential areas would not be allowed, adding that all cattle trading activities would be confined strictly to the designated sale points.
