3 senior police officers including Bannu RPO transferred

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has transferred three senior police officers including the Regional Police Officer (RPO) Bannu amid the deteriorating security situation and continued attacks on police personnel in the province.

According to an official notification on Wednesday, Qasim Ali Khan who was serving as DIG Security at the Central Police Office (CPO), has been appointed the new RPO Mardan.

Sajjad Khan, previously serving as RPO Bannu has been transferred and posted as DIG Security Division at the CPO.

Meanwhile, Rab Nawaz Khan who was serving as RPO Mardan has been transferred to Bannu as the new Regional Police Officer.

The reshuffle comes as security concerns continue to rise in several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
