3-member robbery gang busted; stolen bikes, cash, weapon recovered

TANK, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Feb, 2026) The Tank police have arrested a three-member gang allegedly involved in a series of theft and robbery incidents, recovering stolen motorcycles, cash, mobile phones and a weapon during a targeted operation.

Addressing a press conference here at the DRC Hall, DSP City Circle Imran Khattak said that over the past few weeks, several complaints had been received regarding theft, motorcycle snatching, robberies and street crimes within the limits of City Police Station.

Taking immediate notice, DPO Tank Abdul Samad Khan constituted a special team under the supervision of DSP Imran Khattak and directed SHO City Sher Afzal Khan to take effective action.

Following these directives, the police traced multiple cases and arrested three suspects identified as Mehran son of Gul Badshah, a resident of Dab Quli Khel, Nauman son of Aurangzeb, and Mutiullah son of Asmatullah, residents of Dheri Abakhel.

Police recovered three stolen 125cc motorcycles, one battery stolen from a Masjid, two mobile phones, a pistol and Rs74,000 in cash allegedly looted during various incidents. Further investigation is underway.

Khattak reiterated that operations against criminal elements in the district will continue without interruption to ensure law and order and protect citizens’ lives and property.
