RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Mar, 2026) The New Town Police arrested three men, including the caller, for making a bogus call to the Police Helpline 15

and misleading the police about a fake car-snatching incident, a Rawalpindi Police spokesman said on Friday.

According to the first information report, the caller had informed the helpline that five armed men had snatched

a car from his friends at gunpoint and fled.

The New Town Police rushed to the spot where they found that no such incident had taken place with the caller

or his friends.

Investigation revealed that the caller had earlier sold the car to a person who later contacted him for biometric

verification.

The caller, in an attempt to seize back the sold vehicle, made the false call to mislead the police, the spokesman

added.

The New Town Police registered a case against the caller and his two accomplices and arrested them.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Rawal Saad Arshad said the Helpline 15 was an emergency facility for citizens

and strict action would be taken against those misusing it.
