200 rickshaw-driver families receive ration in Loralai under Balochistan’s ramazan relief package

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Feb, 2026) The distribution of rations to deserving and underprivileged families continues in Loralai district under a public welfare initiative launched in line with the vision of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.

As part of the campaign, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Meeran Baloch oversaw the organized and transparent distribution of rations among 200 families of rickshaw drivers. Packages were delivered directly to beneficiaries’ doorsteps, with officials ensuring proper verification and merit-based selection so that aid reached genuine recipients.

The initiative aims to provide relief to vulnerable segments of society and help them meet basic needs amid rising inflation. District authorities confirmed that ration distribution will continue regularly to ease the burden on low-income households during Ramazan.

Speaking on the occasion, DC Meeran Baloch emphasized that public service remains the foremost duty of the district administration. He noted that all available resources are being utilized to assist needy families and that relief activities are being carried out with transparency, discipline, and adherence to merit in accordance with the chief minister’s vision.

He added that such measures not only provide immediate financial relief but also strengthen trust between the state and the public.

Other district officials were present during the distribution process. Beneficiary families expressed gratitude to the government of Balochistan and the district administration, describing the initiative as a timely and commendable step to support low-income earners during Ramazan.
