2 WASA workers die while cleaning sewer in Vehari

BUREWALA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Jul, 2026) Two employees of the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) died on Sunday while cleaning a sewer near the Old Bus Stand in Vehari.

According to APP correspondent, the workers, Sunny and Sawal had entered the sewer during routine maintenance when the fatal incident occurred.

Rescue 1122 teams rushed to the scene after receiving the emergency call and launched a rescue operation, but both workers could not be revived.

Their bodies were later shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, Vehari, for legal formalities.
