2-member gang involved in street crimes busted

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Feb, 2026) Police have arrested a two-member gang allegedly involved in theft, house break-ins and street crime, recovering stolen mobile phones worth more than Rs200,000 and cash amounting to Rs18,000,from their possession here on Monday.

A Bazaar police station, a spokesperson said, adding that the suspects were taken into custody following targeted operation based on intelligence inputs.

SP Potohar Sardar Babar Mumtaz Khan commended police team for their swift action and said the suspects would be challaned to court with “solid evidence”.

“Those who deprive citizens of their valuable assets will not escape the law,” Khan said, underscoring a zero-tolerance approach to organised street crime.
