2 dacoits killed in CCD encounter in Rahim Yar Khan

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th May, 2026) Two alleged dacoits, including notorious gang leader Amin Boka, were killed in an encounter with the Crime Control Department (CCD) in Taranda Muhammad Panah area of Rahim Yar Khan district, while a police volunteer was martyred and a CCD official sustained serious injuries during the exchange of fire.

According to a CCD spokesperson here on Sunday, CCD Multan conducted a raid in Taranda Muhammad Panah on a tip-off regarding the presence of the Amin Boka gang. However, the suspects opened indiscriminate fire on the CCD team upon seeing the police party, triggering a fierce encounter.

During the operation, gang leader Amin Boka and one of his accomplices were killed. A police volunteer assisting the operation was also martyred after being hit by the firing of the outlaws, while a CCD official suffered serious injuries.

The injured official was immediately shifted to hospital, where his condition was stated to be stable.

The spokesperson said that Amin Boka had long been wanted by police in more than 50 cases, including dacoity, car snatching, house robbery and other serious crimes.

The encounter continued for several hours, during which additional CCD teams from Rahim Yar Khan and adjoining districts reached the spot to assist the operation. CCD officials continued the pursuit of the gang and successfully neutralized the main suspects after an intense exchange of fire.

The CCD reiterated its commitment to continuing operations against criminal elements across Punjab to ensure protection of citizens and maintenance of law and order, the spokesperson added.
