At least 18 girl students were injured after a lightning strike a girls’ seminary in the remote Tirah Valley of Khyber District on Thursday

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) At least 18 girl students were injured after a lightning strike a girls’ seminary in the remote Tirah Valley of Khyber District on Thursday.

According to rescue sources, the incident occurred in the area of Bazaar Zakhakhel Painda China, where lightning struck a madrasa for girls.

The natural disaster caused panic and left multiple students injured.

Rescue teams promptly reached the site and provided first aid to the injured students. All affected girls were later shifted to a nearby hospital in Dogra for further medical treatment.

Hospital officials confirmed that the injured students, aged between 12 and 16 years, are currently in stable condition and out of danger.
