14 SHOs suspended over poor performance

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) Superintendent of Police (SP) Investigation Imran Abbas Chadhar has initiated strict departmental action against police officers showing poor performance. In a significant move, 14 Station House Officers (SHOs) across the district have been suspended from service for six months due to their failure to curb crime and meet assigned targets.

The officers penalized include Additional SHO Factory Area, Additional SHO Cantt, SHO Urban Area, SHO Satellite Town, SHO City, SHO Kirana, SHO Bhalwal Sadr, SHO Phularwan, Additional SHO Mela, SHO Luxiaan, SHO Shahpur City, Additional SHO Tarkhanwala, and SHO Shah Nikdur.

According to official sources, these officers were found negligent in taking effective action against criminals, failing to arrest proclaimed and habitual offenders, and not achieving the objectives set by higher authorities.

Speaking on the occasion, SP Investigation Imran Abbas Chadhar emphasized that safeguarding public life and property remains the department’s top priority. He further stated that strict and impartial action will continue against officers who display negligence or fail in their duties.
