13 stolen motorcycles, rickshaw and weapons recovered during operation in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th May, 2026) Police have intensified operations against gangs involved in street crimes following arrest of six members of three separate gangs during successful crackdowns here on Tuesday.

According to police spokesperson, police have recovered rickshaw, 13 stolen motorcycles, cash amounting to Rs28,400, two snatched mobile phones, other stolen valuables, and weapons from their possession.

Bani Police have arrested two members of a gang involved in vehicle theft and street crimes and recovered stolen rickshaw, two stolen motorcycles, and Rs3,400 obtained from the sale of a snatched mobile phone from the suspects.

Similarly, Waris Khan Police apprehended two members of another gang and recovered six stolen motorcycles from their possession.

In a separate operation, Chaklala Police arrested two accused linked to theft and robbery cases, recovering five stolen motorcycles, Rs25,000 cash, two snatched mobile phones, other valuables, and weapons.

Police spokesperson stated that individuals involved in crimes against citizens’ lives and property cannot escape the grip of the law, adding that operations against criminal elements will continue across the district without any discrimination.
