12 suspects arrested for drugs, liquor & illegal weapons

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Feb, 2026) The Rawalpindi Police arrested 12 individuals and recovered over three kilograms of charas, liquor and illegal weapons with ammunition in separate operations across the district, a spokesman said on Thursday.

According to the spokesman, the Chaklala Police apprehended a man and recovered 1.

72 kilograms of charas, while the Saddar Beruni Police arrested another individual with 1.66 kilograms of the contraband.

The Waris Khan Police seized 40 cans of liquor from a third suspect. The Waris Khan Police also arrested six more accused and recovered 45 litres of liquor along with weapons and ammunition.

The Ratta Amral Police seized eight litres of liquor from one individual, the Sadiqabad Police recovered five litres from another, and the Chaklala Police also seized weapons with ammunition from a suspect.
