10th Iftar, dinner held at Governor House

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Feb, 2026) Governor of Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori addressed participants at the tenth Iftar and dinner organized at Governor House under the title “Umeed e Ramzan” during the blessed month of Ramazan.

The Governor of Sindh said that three days ago Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, after which Iran was attacked. He stated that terrorists present in Afghanistan who are attacking Pakistan have links with India. He said the fundamental reason is that India knows Pakistan is the only Islamic country possessing nuclear capability and atomic strength.

The ceremony was attended by representative of the USA business community Tanveer Ahmed, distinguished guests, students and faculty members of different universities, and a large number of citizens.

He termed children the bright future of Pakistan and announced that if parents wish, he will personally bear the educational expenses of children present at the ceremony from first to tenth grade.

The Governor said the Pakistan Army is always ready to defend the country and the public stands shoulder to shoulder in solidarity.

Referring to the war of May 10, he said the enemy was given a crushing defeat and seven Indian aircrafts were shot down, adding that this was also confirmed by the US President.

He stated that 62 percent of Pakistan’s population comprises youth who stand with the armed forces with passion and commitment. He said India fears Pakistan’s younger generation because of their spirit, while a soldier’s aspiration is either martyrdom or victory in defense of the country.

Earlier, the event began with recitation of the Holy Quran by Hafiz Uzair Luqman from the Philippines. Hafiz Waleed Hassan and Hafiz Salman Tariq presented Naat, while Maulana Kyaw Min Htet from Myanmar delivered a detailed address on the blessings of Ramazan.

During the ceremony, Amjad Pastor drew the name of Noreen Kanwal from Mansehra in the sewing machine ballot, Khurram Salar selected Muhammad Usman Jamali from Dadu in another draw, while Tanveer Ahmed drew the name of Yaqoob Azeem from Chachro for the residential plot.
