ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd May, 2026) In a major initiative aimed at youth empowerment and skills development, RankingGrow organised what it described as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s largest job fair at its headquarters in Haripur, attracting over 1,500 students, professionals, and members of the business community.
A representative of RankingGrow told APP on Sunday that the event featured more than 50 job openings, over 200 internships, and upwards of 1,000 free training opportunities, with several candidates hired on the spot, reflecting increasing demand for skilled individuals in digital and corporate sectors.
The event was attended by prominent personalities including Babar Nawaz Khan as the chief guest, along with Syeda Amina Gilani, Malik Umair Khalid, Syed Safdar Zaman Shah, and Waqar Ali. Representatives of the district bar, religious scholars, government officials, professors, and members of the local business community also participated.
During an open talk session, Ammad Ali welcomed the participants and congratulated selected candidates, stressing the importance of practical skills in today’s competitive environment. Talking to APP, he said the initiative aimed to bridge the gap between education and employment by equipping youth with hands-on skills to make them job-ready and financially independent.
He said under RankingGrow’s Vision 2030, the organisation aimed to prepare at least 10,000 individuals for the job market and create sustainable employment opportunities, adding that such efforts were vital to reducing unemployment and promoting entrepreneurship.
Addressing the participants, Babar Nawaz Khan appreciated the initiative and assured support for youth-focused programmes, saying empowering young people through skills and employment opportunities remained a key priority.
Syeda Amina Gilani highlighted the growing importance of digital skills and shared details of ongoing initiatives by the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), expressing willingness to collaborate with RankingGrow for further skill development in the region.
Malik Umair Khalid also praised the initiative and assured support from the business community, stressing the need for stronger collaboration between the private sector and training institutions.
Other speakers, including Syed Safdar Zaman Shah, District Bar President Saeed Khan, and District Khateeb Abdul Majeed, also lauded the initiative and expressed their support for similar programmes aimed at youth development.
The event concluded on a positive note, with participants expressing satisfaction over the opportunities provided, while Ammad Ali thanked the local police for ensuring smooth security arrangements and announced that all attendees would be offered free training opportunities.
Observers termed the job fair a benchmark initiative, noting that such efforts could play a significant role in addressing unemployment and promoting a culture of skills-based education in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
