World Environment Day observed at 10 SRSO-run community schools

SUKKUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Jun, 2026) World Environment Day was marked at 10 community cluster schools run by the Sindh Rural Support Organisation (SRSO) in Shikarpur district, including schools in Garhi Sahib Khan, Hashim Pahore, Gul Hassan Mangi, Qabalo and Aurangabad on Tuesday.

Teachers, non teaching staff and students organised activities to raise awareness about climate change and environmental protection. Volunteers held an awareness rally aimed at promoting tree plantation, climate change awareness and environmental cleanliness.

On the occasion, students and teachers highlighted the risks of climate change, rising temperatures and heatwaves through posters, pamphlets, slogans and speeches.
