WASA spokesman said that uninterrupted desilting of sewerage networks and roadside drains around the historic Eight Bazaars and central Imambargahs would continue to guarantee smooth movement of mourners and prevent any inconvenience during Muharram gatherings and processions.
MD WASA has directed that no water accumulation should be allowed on roads leading to procession and Majalis routes during Muharram.
He further directed field staff to ensure that all manholes remain properly covered and no roadside drain slabs are missing, as such issues could pose safety hazards for the participants.
