Two injured in firing incident in Nawabshah

HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Jun, 2026) Two children were injured in a firing incident in the jurisdiction of Airport Police Station in Garibabad area Nawabshah, after a man identified as Imtiaz Otho, reportedly under the influence of drugs, opened fire.

The injured children were shifted to Peoples Medical Hospital in critical condition, where they are currently undergoing surgery. Following the incident, a large crowd comprising hundreds of people gathered and attacked the suspect’s house.

Sameer Noor Channa, ASP Dure- Tabish, along with SHO Iqbal Wassan, SHO Waseem Mirza, Ashraf Solangi, and a heavy police contingent, reached the scene.

Police officials urged residents to remain peaceful and brought the situation under control.

The suspect, Imtiaz Otho, was arrested at the scene. During. arrest, members of the crowd subjected him to severe physical assault. Police later took the suspect into custody under tight security and shifted to an undisclosed location.
