State to enforce law with full force against violence, armed groups: Khawaja Asif

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Jun, 2026) Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that if anyone wants to impose an anti-state agenda through violence and armed groups, the state will enforce the law with full force.

The state will ensure that the people of Kashmir are able to exercise their right to express their views freely, he wrote on his social media handle X.

The minister said that now elections are near, taking contentious issues to the court of people is the very essence of democratic thinking.

He said that those who seek to impose their ideology through violence and bloodshed, rather than through the will of the people, have motives that extend beyond democratic objectives.

Asif said that the manner in which police and security personnel were martyred and their bodies desecrated clearly indicates that such elements are unwilling to pursue the path of public opinion through elections.
