Security operations chief inspects Makkah’s unified 911 center ahead of Hajj rush

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th May, 2026) Brigadier General Omar Al-Talhi inspected the unified security operations center in Makkah Region as authorities intensified emergency and humanitarian services for pilgrims during the Hajj 1447 AH season.

According to SPA, the center continues to receive emergency calls through the unified emergency number 911 and coordinates rapid assistance for pilgrims in cooperation with security and service agencies.

During the visit, Al-Talhi stressed the importance of ensuring pilgrims’ safety and security through accurate and professional handling of reports and swift referral of cases to the relevant authorities.

He also highlighted the need for strong coordination and integration among participating security and service entities operating within the center during the Hajj season.

The report said the unified security operations center in Makkah Region handled more than one million calls during the Hajj 1446 AH season, reflecting the scale of services provided to pilgrims and visitors.
