RCCI welcomes fixed tax scheme, offers support for implementation

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Jun, 2026) President Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) Usman Shaukat has welcomed the Federal board of Revenue’s fixed tax scheme for small traders, terming it a positive step towards simplifying the tax system and promoting documentation of the economy.

In a statement, he said a transparent and business-friendly tax regime would improve compliance and build trust between taxpayers and authorities.

He urged the FBR to ensure effective implementation, address operational challenges and conduct widespread awareness campaigns to educate traders about the scheme.

Usman Shaukat said RCCI and other chambers were ready to support the FBR through seminars and outreach initiatives to facilitate traders and ensure successful implementation of the scheme.
