QUEST university conducts entry test

HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Jun, 2026) Computerized entry test for admissions to the 2026 batch at Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology is currently underway at the university’s modern library.

Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Saleem Raza Samo said that entry tests are being conducted for admissions in 25 departments, including 14 engineering departments, 9 science departments, and 2 technology departments.

VC said that a total of 4,066 candidates submitted application forms, out of which 2,509 were accepted, while 1,557 were rejected due to various reasons.

He explained that candidates from two districts are being tested daily in two shifts, and the entry test process would continue until June 17.

Vice Chancellor said that the computerized testing system allows candidates to receive their results immediately upon completion of the test. Successful candidates can submit their fees, secure admission, and receive hostel roll number allotments on the same day.

He also mentioned that there are a total of 1,500 seats available, while a significantly higher number of candidates are competing. The passing mark for entry test has been set at 40.
