Police have registered a case over an alleged dance party held inside the Rawalpindi Judicial Complex after a video purportedly showing the incident surfaced on social media

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Jun, 2026) Police have registered a case over an alleged dance party held inside the Rawalpindi Judicial Complex after a video purportedly showing the incident surfaced on social media.

According to police, the First Information Report (FIR) was lodged at Civil Lines Police Station on the complaint of a sessions court watchman, while efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the individuals seen in the footage.

In his complaint, the watchman stated that he had come across a video circulating on social media which allegedly showed men and women engaging in inappropriate activities inside the Judicial Complex.

The FIR stated that the incident reportedly occurred in a section of the complex used by lawyers.

The complainant alleged that the footage showed men and women performing indecent acts and claimed that the individuals visible in the video could be identified.

Following the registration of the case, Civil Lines Police launched an investigation and initiated efforts to trace those appearing in the footage.

Police officials said the video and other available evidence were being examined as part of the inquiry and that legal action would be taken in accordance with the law.

No arrests had been announced until the filling of this report, while investigations and search operations were continuing.
